Abstract
Unilateral renal agenesis is caused by developmental failure of the Wolffian duct to give off a corresponding ureteric bud during fetal life.
This is commonly associated with other congenital urogenital anomaly. Prenatal ultrasonography may show contralateral compensatory renal hypertrophy and ipsilateral empty renal fossa as a secondary sign of congenital unilateral renal agenesis. We
present a case of unilateral renal agenesis in a fetus who underwent ultrasonography at 34 week's gestation.
